Sean and I (Lane) were so pumped about the disco section of this song that we threatened to form a long distance disco band! This is definitely a classic Ocean Floor - what genre will pop up next - kind of recording. First coagulating from a dream The Ocean Floor has it's first power pop moment with fuzz guitar and horns, before evoking a wedding band way less modern than the one I was a part of with my dad! From there we are head to a disco club and eventually it is just a piece for voice and acoustic guitar. This song lyrically suggests the need for a special tool to finally escape the maddening "halls of mirrors" of perception. Wouldn't it be nice? Let's not hold our breath!
