When I was on a boy scout camping trip I remember seeing a velvet ant on a path. Like young boys do, I tried to squash it and not only did it refuse to be squashed, but I swore I heard it screaming. I couldn't believe this indestructible screaming ant was real. Was it? I guess that's the question we ask our extraordinary memories. If a moment that breaks our supposed laws of the universe is too short, we eventually stop believing in our experience.
lyrics
So I slipped, strings sewn through my shoes
Hoisted up, a cartwheel divided by two
When I lived, I took it seriously
So bless you for laughing at me
And I asked for the attention I received
And you clapped for the strings that lifted me
Like a cat, I landed on my feet
Clammy skin and white as a sheet
And I asked for the suspenson I received
I hope that I've done what, unremembered, I don't believe
